Branding is a space you create
You cannot sell what you don't believe in + brand spotlight & cool links
👋 Hello brand enthusiast, how are you doing today?
Crunchy branding talks. Today I would like to reflect on branding as a space you create. Digitally and physically the notion of space is quite different, it is an invitation.
In this short audio I expand on that concept and understanding.
I stumbled upon a concept store in Paris, that highlighted the power of creating a space and how that skill and exposure resonates with clients and audiences. It was a great reminder of ideas to implement digitally.
The founder of this concept store said something spot on: ‘‘You cannot sell what you don't believe in’’.Â
A quick quote from the founder of this concept store:
I do not think, I feel. Sometimes I wonder if more business-centred skills would help increase sales, but it's not me. I just do and see as I build.
She had a pure insight that sparks reminders about what you build and why. She is a former teacher and is now the owner of a cosy, high-quality concept store in Paris. She values the quality and excellence of what she wants in her shop and space.
Here is another example of ‘‘Branding = A space’’ by a French influencer who succeeded in grasping the voice and needs of young people in France.
💡 Visual identity spotlight: The Color of Music
Immersive branding! What a poetic project, in a few pages you really enter a story. When I started reflecting on Branding being a space you create, I stumbled upon this project. Here is a tangible example and ‘‘gant de velours’’ demonstration of how to do it.
Behind The Color of Music is a brand strategist, it’s quite normal to witness her brilliant understanding and expression of a side of her work. As a brand strategist, Valerie Donati has crafted a unique immersion that can only expand with more animations, more details and more elements from her book to be highlighted in the storytelling. Beautiful work! She has my ‘‘eye on Branding’’ award of the week.
Creating a space, is to capture that unique feeling in someone that resonates with your story.
You can share your feedback on the project and vision here. As I always say, feedback is growth.
